OIC ask Security Council to discuss Israel’s violations against Aqsa

images_News_2014_03_09_defilers-0_300_0The organization of Islamic cooperation (OIC) started to move diplomatically at the UN level to curb Israel’s intention to strip Jordan of its sovereignty over the Aqsa Mosque.

Guinean ambassador to the UN Mamady Traore, who represents the OIC states members in the UN, expressed on Saturday his concern over Israel’s illegal activities at the Aqsa Mosque and its Knesset’s attempt to impose a Jewish sovereignty over the Mosque.

Traore said he demanded the president of the UN Security Council to convene a session to table this issue in order to take action curbing Israel’s illegal measures against the Aqsa Mosque.

The Arab and Islamic member states of the UN had sent letters in this regard to the presidency of the Security Council and the General Assembly as well as to Secretary-General of the UN Ban Ki-moon.
