Iran’s Ambassador in Moscow: We Propose Holding a Meeting for Syria’s Friends in Tehran

Iran’s Ambassador in Moscow, Reza Sajjadi, on Saturday said that Iran proposes holding an international meeting on Syria with the participation of over 30 countries.

Russia Today website reported Sajadi as saying, “Tehran proposes holding this meeting on the level of foreign ministers or their deputies to discuss means of solving the crisis in Syria and the possibility of pushing the Syrian opposition to sit at the negotiations table.”

Three days ago, Iranian Foreign Minister, Ali Akbar Salehi, said that Tehran would organize a meeting on May 29th dubbed “Friends of the Syrian People”.
