QUDS DAY’23: Millions of People Gather Globally to Celebrate International Quds Day Despite Ongoing ‘israeli’ Aggression

At Quds Day rallies around the world, millions of people have come together in solidarity with the Palestinian people and to speak out against Israeli aggression. These events have been held in Iran and other Muslim nations to express their support for the Palestinian cause. The attendees are determined to make their voices heard and to stand in solidarity against the injustices faced by Palestinians.

Rallies in Iran, coordinated by the Islamic Propagation Coordination Council (IPCC), kicked off at 10 a.m. local time (0630 GMT) on Friday in Tehran and other cities throughout the country.

The demonstrators aimed to make the world aware of the terrible plight of the Palestinians and to denounce the Israeli atrocities which have become more extreme this year, particularly in the wake of the start of Ramadan.

Heads from every walk of life made their way to the legendary Enqelab (Revolution) Square in the Iranian capital, with ten different routes specified for the rallies.

Every year on the last Friday of Ramadan, rallies are held around the world to express solidarity with the Palestinian people in their fight against Israel and their effort to reclaim their territories that have been under Israeli control since 1967.

People from all over the globe, of any faith, have the chance to express their backing of the Palestinian cause and their frustration with Israel each year during the annual event.

Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, the revered spiritual leader of Muslims around the world and the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, instated a legacy in 1979 that has been upheld ever since. Just after leading the Islamic Revolution which overthrew the US-backed Shah of Iran, he declared the last Friday of the month of Ramadan as the International Quds Day.

In their closing statement in Tehran, the protesters declared that the Muslim world must be unified and in solidarity in order to overcome the plots of global powers and their arrogance.

It was stated that the Axis of Resistance has caused the Zionist movement to be confused and the unethical and ultra-conservative government of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been completely disheartened.

The report stated that the regime which kills children is deteriorating slowly, as well as facing political instability and extreme bipolarity.

The ongoing events in the Israeli-occupied territories and the return of Israeli settlers point to an inevitable deterioration of the false Zionist regime, leading it ever closer to its downfall.

The protesters emphasized the need to bolster backing for the anti-Israel resistance movement, expressing that it is the only feasible answer to address the Palestinian matter as the primary question of the Muslim world.

The statement emphasized the Palestinian refugees’ right to return to their lands, which they were expelled from in 1948, as well as the Palestinians’ right to hold a comprehensive and free referendum to determine their political fate.

Demonstrators denounced the Israeli raids and violence towards Palestinian worshipers at the al-Aqsa Mosque compound, claiming that they are part of a ploy by the Israeli government to distract from their current political and economic hardship.

Israel has expressed concern about the potential for a new Intifada in the occupied West Bank, noting the unification of Palestinian groups and the rising number of young Palestinians joining resistance organizations.

The participants commended the retaliatory missile strikes conducted by Palestinian resistance fighters, cautioning Israeli officials not to make any more errors against the al-Aqsa Mosque.

The Zionists would face severe consequences if there were any desecration of the holy site, and a new military confrontation would expedite the downfall and obliteration of the oppressive and unlawfully controlling Israeli government, they declared.

The protesters finally expressed their outrage at the silence and lack of action taken by international and human rights institutions in regards to the “barbaric” Israeli crimes. They called on the United Nations to suspend Israel’s membership and ultimately expel the “occupying, racist and child-killing Zionist regime” from the organization and other international bodies.

Mousa Qalibaf has declared that the only way to achieve the liberation of Palestine is through resistance.

Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, the speaker of Iran’s Parliament, declared that the only means of attaining success and ultimate victory over Israel is through resistance.

He told demonstrators in Tehran that the Quds Day is a very significant and influential day for the Muslim Ummah and Islamic countries, and that success and victory could only be achieved through resistance.

Qalibaf declared that the US and Israel, as representatives of global arrogance, had attempted to utilize Daesh terrorists to erase the Palestinian issue from memory. Nevertheless, the resistance front was successful in thwarting this scheme, as all the resistance fighters united to guard Muslim lands and crushed the cruel terrorists.

He stated that the Palestine issue is still going strong, and that it is supported by people from all over the world, not just Muslims. This was made especially evident in Qatar during the FIFA World Cup, where support for Palestine and its cause was demonstrated.

Qalibaf praised the retaliatory missile strikes, expressing his belief that all Palestinian groups have united to free l-Quds, referred to by him as the capital of the Muslim world.

He declared that Israeli initiatives to build closer relationships with Muslims and compel them to accept defeat have had an unintended result, as Islam has attained greatness and esteem.

Israel attempted to present Iran and the resistance front as a danger to Muslim countries, yet their plan ultimately failed miserably.

Since the beginning of Ramadan, Israel has imposed severe limitations on Palestinians entering and exiting the gates of al-Aqsa Mosque. Tensions have been high between the Palestinian worshipers and Israeli settlers, who continue to carry out their provocative rituals and frequent incursions at the holy site.

The resistance movements in Gaza and other locations have declared that they will fight the Israeli government in various ways.

At least 30 rockets were launched from southern Lebanon into Israeli-occupied territories on April 6 in response to Israeli aggression against al-Aqsa. Additionally, resistance fighters based in Gaza fired several rockets toward the occupied territories.

Palestinian sources reported that the Iron Dome defense system of Israel was not successful in intercepting the majority of the rockets. After the retaliatory attack, Israeli warplanes struck locations inside Gaza and positions of Hamas in Lebanon.
