Syrian Army Gives Crushing Response to Terrorists’ Violation of Ceasefire in Homs

The Syrian Army’s artillery units pounded terrorists’ positions and movements after the latter violated ceasefire in the Northern Homs de-escalation zone on Friday.

The artillery units opened heavy fire at terrorists’ strongholds and movements after they breached ceasefire in the de-escalation zone in Northern Homs, inflicting major losses on the militants.

The men further engaged in fierce clashes with the terrorists near the Northern farms of the town of al-Rastan and the villages of Taloul al-Hamr, Asileh and Ezzeddeen region.

Other army soldiers, meantime, clashed with terrorists in al-Mashrou’a and al-Mohata regions and near the small towns of al-Qantou and Hawsh Hajwah in Northern and Northwestern Homs after the terrorists’ attack on government forces’ positions.

In the meantime, the artillery units opened fire at terrorists near the villages of Akrad al-Daseniyeh and Jabourin in Northwestern Homs, killing and wounding a number of terrorists who breached the ceasefire regime.

Well-informed sources in Central Syria reported on Wednesday that the terrorist groups embarked on forming a new coalition in Homs and Hama provinces to slow down the Syrian Army advances.

The sources said that most of the terrorist groups in Northern Homs and Southern Hama agreed on setting up a Joint Operation Room under a united command in the central regions between the two provinces.

The sources further said that the terrorists of al-Faylaq al-Rabeh, Jeish al-Tohid, Faylaq al-Sham, al-Watan Tahrir Movement, Jeish al-Izzah, Jeish al-Homs, al-Houleh Operation Room, al-Rastan, Southern Hama Operation Room, Eastern Region and Southwestern Region joined the newly-formed coalition that is under the command of Ibrahim Bakar Abu Khalil.

They added that the newly-formed coalition is said to aim to face the army advances in Central Syria. Yet, the army is implementing a reconciliation plan in Southeastern Hama and is on the verge of purging the region of terrorists, they said.
