Salehi arrives in Baghdad

Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi arrived in Iraqi capital Baghdad on Wednesday.

Upon his arrival, Salehi was welcomed by his Iraqi counterpart Hoshiyar Zebari and several top officials.

Iranian foreign minister is heading a ramking delegation to the country.

During his two day visit, Salehi will negotiate ways for fostering mutual ties and the latest regional developments with top Iraqi officials.

The Iranian foreign minister visited Qatar, Oman and the UAE last week.

After the fall of Saddam Hossein’s regime, Iran and Iraq enjoy cordial relations witnessing a significant growth in the recent years.
