Bushehr N-plant to be inaugurated in Feb.

The Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant will go on stream formally with all capacities during the Ten Day Dawn (commemoration of the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979), Head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization said on Saturday.

Fereidoon Abbasi said the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant will add some 1,000 MW power to the national grid.

Abbasi said all of the special stages for obtaining the goal were carried out and other tests are underway.

He pointed to ineffective sanctions by the West for launching the power plant and said,” Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant is ready to go on stream and it’s steam unit is in the final stage.”

Abbasi said Iran may invite some heads of friendly countries to attend the formal inauguration ceremony of the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant.
