Sheikh Naim Qassem: Only Solution to Syrian Crisis Inner Dialogue

Hizbullah’s Deputy Secretary General, His Eminence Sheikh Naim Qassem stated at the Scholars and Islamic Awakening International Conference in Tehran on Monday, “The Iranian Islamic Revolution is described as a turning point that gave scholars, liberation movements and people God’s divine light.”

“This Islamic Awakening is characterized by its ability to cope with national and liberal opinions, and different races and languages,” he added.
His Eminence further divided The Islamic Awakening into three forms:

– Minimal change of regimes, such as in Tunisia, Egypt, and Libya
– Resistance against foreign occupation, such as Hizbullah, Hamas, Jihad, and other Palestinian organizations against “Israel”
– And demand of justice and popular right of representation, such as the Bahraini people

Moreover, Sheikh Naim Qassem reiterated, “It is important that our priorities be focused on confronting arrogance and occupation, not to be distracted with partial differences. Everyone knows that the biggest problem depleting our region and the world is the Zionist occupation of Palestine.”

“”Israel” is a source of danger to us and to all of humanity, since it is racist and criminal and aims at destroying it. The only solution is through resistance in order to liberate Palestine from sea to river,” he said.

Hizbullah’s Deputy Secretary General further stressed, “”Israel” cannot use a terrorizing tone anymore, because the resistance is ready, depends on its God, and is certain of victory granted by Allah, the Powerful and Wise.”
Furthermore, he stated, “There is a systematic eradication of the Arab Syrian Republic under an international and regional supervision, and there is no solution [to the crisis] but by inner dialogue between parties, away from weaponry and foreign intervention.”

“We must be aware of the leaders who exploit scholars to create sectarian secession for political goals. We must be aware of the US and “Israel”, since Islamic sects are the common road to worship and we all compete to sacrifice for Allah,” he added.

“The Supreme Leader Sayyed Ali Khamenei warned of this slide [we witness], saying, ‘Beware of sectarian, racial, tribal, national, and border differences. Admit your differences and direct them with shrewd management,'” Sheikh Qassem noted.
Likewise, His Eminence declared “as Hizbullah, to commit to the Islamic Jurist’s rule and we perceived the blessings of this ruling through Imam Khomeini then Imam Khamenei.”

Moreover, Sheikh Naim Qassem listed the most significant rules that achieve efficient modern change through the Islamic Awakening:

1- Believing in Allah and His Islamic message,
2- People’s strife for change,
3- Cooperating with all parties and refusing secession,
4- Focusing on priorities, chiefly the liberation of Palestine,
5- Refusing intellectual, political, and practical foreign submission.
Sheikh Naim Qassem further thanked The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppresed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei and the Conference’s President, Dr. Ali Wilayati, and the Iranian Republic.
