Suppressing demonstrators in US, UK shows their weakness: Jalili

Suppressing demonstrations in UK and US shows their governments’ inability to solve their own internal problems, the Secretary of Supreme National Security Council Saeed Jalili said on Monday.

He made the remark in the meeting with the head of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Ramadan Abdullah Mohammad Shallah.

The two officials discussed latest developments in the region and the Palestinian territories.

Jalili stressed the need for optimal use of the opportunity created by ongoing regional Islamic awakening for the interest of Muslim countries and freedom of Palestine.

The Zionist regime’s allies have faced a difficult situation and in the meantime, Islamic awakening has shaken the pillars of the Tel-Aviv regime.

Head of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, for his part declared the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s proposal to the 5th International Conference on the Palestinian Intifada as the roadmap for the freedom of Palestine.

“The Zionist regime as an illegal tyrant occupier is on the decline and any action which brings legitimacy for it and lead to the separation of parts of Palestine is unacceptable,” he added.

Palestinians will go ahead with their intifada to gain their rights, Mohammad Shallah said.

Head of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad was here in Tehran to attend the 5th International Conference on the Palestinian Intifada.

The 5th International Conference on the Palestinian Intifada with participation of parliamentary delegations, headed by dignitaries, including several speakers, leading political figures and scholars from 50 Islamic and non-Islamic countries as well as leaders of several Palestinian groups opened in Tehran Saturday morning and ended Sudany evening.

The two-day conference focused on the motto of “Palestine, a land only for Palestinians”.
