After this successful operation the Syrian Special Forces broke a long siege on the Aleppo Central Prison by foreign-backed militants, who had the prison under control for over a year.
The prison is home to nearly 4,000 inmates.
The army units also regained control of a factory and several other buildings in Aleppo countryside.
