Mikati: Civil Peace Red Line, I Gave Security Forces to Hit with A Fist of Iron

Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati appeared in a press conference on Friday, assuring that the situation will be contained Friday evening. “The timing of what happened in Tripoli is suspicious, that’s why we stress that civil peace is a “red line” and we shall not compromise it,” the Prime Minister said.

Mikati also stressed that “Those who think that they are above the law are mistaken and I have tasked investigation committees with probing today’s events,” adding “The army has clear orders to put an end to this sedition.”
