Syrian Community, Students Abroad Renew Solidarity with Homeland and Syrian Government

20130318-112229The National Union of Syrian Students in cooperation with the Syrian communities in Italy, France, Belgium, Armenia and Cuba organized activities in solidarity with the homeland in the face of the fierce campaign launched against it.

In Rome, the Syrian students in cooperation with the Syrian community organized an event through which they raised the Syrian flag as an example of dignity and steadfastness in the St. Peter’s Square in the Vatican.

The participants stressed that Syria is the country of tolerance and amity, expressing solidarity with the homeland in the face of terrorism and the global conspiracy hatched against it.

In Paris, the Syrian community and students staged a huge rally in support of Syria in its war against terrorism with the participation of the Algerian, Lebanese and Tunisian and Pakistani communities along with a number of French citizens.

The participants raised the Syrian national flags and the photos of President Bashar al-Assad as well as the flags of their countries, voicing support to Syria in the face of terrorism.

They expressed confidence that the Syrian army, people and leadership will overcome the global conspiracy .

The French participants condemned their country’s policies against Syria, asserting that there are no excuses for France to arm the terrorist groups in Syria.

In Brussels, the Syrian community and students organized an event in solidarity with the homeland near the EU Headquarters , protesting against the stances of the countries which support the terrorist groups in Syria and call for arming them.

The participants asserted support to holding a dialogue in Syria with the participation of all the citizens, reiterating their standing by the Syrian wise leadership .

In Yerevan, the Syrian community and students held an activity in solidarity with the homeland near the UN Office in the City through which they denounced the fierce campaign launched against Syria.

The participants handed a letter to the UN and its Secretary General Ban Ki-moon calling upon the UN to stop the acts of the terrorist groups which seek to undermine Syria.

In Havana, the Syrian community and students condemned the stances of the UN and the western countries with regard to the crisis in Syria, asserting solidarity with the homeland.

The participants, in coordination with the Syrian embassy in Havana, handed a letter to the UN through which the denounced the double standards’ policy adopted by the organization in handling the international issues
