Sayyed Nasrallah: “Short-Lived Israel Will Be Terminated”

Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah said that their real project of the Resistance is to secure justice and peace, stressing that ‘Israel’ is a ‘short-lived entity’ which will definitely vanish.

Sayyed Nasrallah appeared on Al-Manar in a three-hour interview on the 30th martyrdom anniversary of former Secretary General Sayyed Abbas Al-Mousawi who was martyred in an Israeli strike on February 16, 1992.

“The Resistance mission is to defend people, freedom, country and nation. The divine promises mentioned in the holy Quran came true in Lebanon,” Sayyed Nasrallah told Al-Manar’s Mohammad Sherri, referring to victories achieved by Hezbollah.

“Sayyed Abbas was certain of the victory against the Israeli enemy

“We believe that Israel will be terminated. It’s a short-lived entity. I agree with adopting this term when referring to the Israeli regime. This entity is heading for collapse. It’s just a matter of time.”

His eminence stressed that the Resistance which was founded by Sayyed Al-Mousawi is now stronger than ever.

Sayyed Nasrallah elaborated on his relation with Sayyed Abbas Al-Mousawi, who was his teacher while acquiring religious studies in the Iraqi holy city of Najaf during the 70s of the last century.

His eminence recalled times when they were in Najaf and when they returned to Lebanon, as well as when Sayyed Al-Mousawi established a religious school in the Lebanese city of Baalbek.

Sayyed Nasrallah hailed the major role of the former Hezbollah S.G. in building up the Resistance against the Israeli enemy, stressing that Sayyed Al-Mousawi was one of the first figures who had decisive stance regarding resisting the Israeli occupation shortly after the 1982 invasion.

“Since the first day, Sayyed Abbas’s choice was Resistance. He used to wear the military uniform alongside his turban. This was not a show-off behavior rather than a campaign of awareness regarding importance of the Resistance.”
