Syrian PM: Syria’s diplomatic victory will enhance political solution to the crisis

Syrian Prime Minister, Wael al-Halqi, reiterated Syria’s welcome of all genuine political initiatives to support the national dialogue, particularly Geneva 2 Conference, stressing that the diplomatic victories achieved by Syria will enhance the political solution to the crisis.

Chairing the Cabinet’s weekly session, al-Halqi pointed out to the major achievements made by the Syrians in facing the universal war in line with the brilliant victories of the Syrian diplomacy realized currently in terms of preventing the US from launching a military aggression against Syria.

He hailed the heroism of the Syrian Arab Army in pursuing the armed terrorist groups and drying up the sources of terrorism in order to restore stability and security to all Syrian territories.

Al-Halqi stressed that the wheat strategic store in Syria amounts to 3 million tons.

The prime Minister said that the government is providing relief requirements to more than 5.2 million citizens.

For his part, Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Walid al-Moallem, presented a political review on the positive developments on the international arena in favor of the political solution and dialogue in Syria.

The cabinet approved a draft law creating the Syrian Commission for Family and Population Affairs.

The Commission, which will be based in Damascus, aims to upgrade the situation of the Syrian family that is directly linked to upgrading and developing the population issues.
