Top Iranian Commander: IRGC Navy at Highest Preparedness Level, Fully Monitoring Persian Gulf

The commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Navy has declared that his forces are currently operating at the highest level of readiness and have full authority over the airspace, surface, and sub-surface of the Persian Gulf.

Rear Admiral Alireza Tangsiri declared to reporters gathered in Bushehr, a port city located in southern Iran, on Friday that the movements of the enemy’s ships in the Persian Gulf are constantly being monitored by the Navy of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

He emphasized that the crucial waterway of the Persian Gulf is entirely secure.

He highlighted the fact that sophisticated military armaments are domestically made in Iran, stating, “The IRGC’s Navy and Ground Forces, along with its Aerospace Division, have achieved great strides in terms of design and production.”

Tangsiri stated that the readiness of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran is growing day by day due to the availability of such gear and competent forces.

Spanning an area of 251,000 square kilometers, the Persian Gulf is bounded to the north by the Arvand River, which serves as the border between Iran and Iraq, and to the south by the Strait of Hormuz, connecting the Persian Gulf to the Sea of Oman and the Indian Ocean.

The Middle East, Africa, India, and China are all connected by a strategic inland sea that serves as an international trade route.

An IRGC commander of higher rank stated recently that, due to the cooperation between Iran and its neighboring states, there is no necessity for foreign forces to guarantee the security of the Persian Gulf. This cooperation has allowed for the protection of the significant waterway.
