Source: Ansarullah Seizes Saudi Weapons from Pro-Hadi Militias in Shabwah

The Ansarullah fighters have seized Saudi weapons from the militias loyal to fugitive President Mansour Hadi in Yemen’s Southern province of Shabwah, a source announced on Sunday.
A source, who asked to remain anonymous, said that the Ansarullah popular forces made huge gains in their fight against pro-Hadi militias in the city of Ataq in Shabwah province late on Saturday, and managed to seize a large number of Saudi-made weapons from them.

The development came as the loyalists to Yemen’s fugitive President Mansour Hadi attempted to sneak into Ataq region. The Ansarullah fighters repelled the attack and seized the military equipment and weapons of the pro-Hadi militias after inflicting heavy losses upon them.

The Saudi warplanes have repeatedly airdropped huge arms cargo for al-Qaeda and pro-Hadi militants across Yemen.

On April 15, the popular fighters seized a huge arms cargo airdropped by a Saudi military plane for the al-Qaeda terrorists in Yemen’s central province of Ma’rib, after the Saudi pilot failed to close out its flight plan.

This was the second such cargo seized by Ansarullah popular forces.

In a similar move, Yemen’s popular fighters seized a huge weapons cargo airdropped by a Saudi military transportation plane for allied troops in the Southern province of Lahij.

Saudi Arabia has been striking Yemen for 32 days now to restore power to fugitive president Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh. The Saudi-led aggression has so far killed at least 3,005 Yemenis, including hundreds of women and children.

Hadi stepped down in January and refused to reconsider the decision despite calls by Ansarullah revolutionaries of the Houthi movement.

Despite Riyadh’s claims that it is bombing the positions of the Ansarullah fighters, Saudi warplanes are flattening residential areas and civilian infrastructures.

On Tuesday the monarchy declared end to Yemen airstrikes after four weeks of bombings, but airstrikes are still underway.
