PM Haneyya: Arabs should support the resistance rather than waiving our rights

images_News_2013_05_04_haneyya-0_300_0Palestinian premier Ismail Haneyya called for developing an Arab strategy protecting the resistance and the Palestinian people’s rights instead of making concessions to the Israeli occupation.

In his Friday khutba (sermon), Haneyya reiterated his government’s rejection of the Arab peace initiative which accepted land swaps with the occupation, adding that the Palestinian people would not waive an inch of Palestine or recognize Israel’s occupation of their land.

“To all those who talk about swapping and bargaining, we say that Palestine is not a property that can be sold, bartered or traded in, it is historical borders, unchangeable land, united Jerusalem and the homeland for refugees who were expelled from it,” premier Haneyya emphasized.

Haneyya warned that the Arab peace initiative poses a threat to the Palestinian people in the 1948 and 1967 occupied lands, and in the diaspora as well as to the Arab and Muslim right to Palestine as an Islamic holy land.

He also affirmed that the concessions made by Arabs are always met by more Israeli obstinacy and Jewish extremism.
