US to leave Afghanistan in disgrace

The senior military adviser to the Leader of the Islamic Ummah and Opressed People cautions against US warmongering policies in the Middle East that would likely lead to its “heavy defeat”.

The US will endure a heavier defeat in Afghanistan than what it experienced in the Vietnam war, said Brigadier General Yahya Rahim Safavi on Saturday.

The US is stuck in Afghanistan, said the general. It can neither advance nor retreat. He further expressed confidence that the US will eventually leave Afghanistan “in disgrace”.

Nine years after the US-led invasion of Afghanistan, the foreign presence has yet to establish security in the country.

The top commander also deplored US presence in Iraq and said, “The US is trying to unbalance OPEC’s oil basket by inking numerous contracts to increase Iraq’s oil extraction to 10 million barrels, an amount equal to Saudi Arabia.”

He further noted that Washington has equipped certain countries in the region with armaments, adding, “The US portrays Iran as an enemy to sell its military weapons to these states.”

Rahim Safavi noted that the US seeks to dominate oil resources of countries in the Middle East.
