US wronged Syrian people and the opposition

Deputy of Iran’s foreign ministry for Arab and African affairs said the US has wronged both the Syrian nation and the opposition by supporting the terrorist and extremist groups and preventing the fulfillment of Bashar Assad’s reforms.

According to IRNA, Hossein Amir Abdullahian said among the Chinese researchers, thinkers and journalists in Beijing that some foreign sides were insisting on carrying out the intervention plan in Syria; but vetoing three resolutions by China and Russia took this opportunity from the enemies of the Syrian people.
Pointing to the despair of the enemies of Syria to directly interfere in the country, deputy of Iranian foreign ministry for Arab and African affairs made t clear, “Then they put indirect interference on the agenda and brought irresponsible armed groups inside the country; so that a few extremist groups like Al-Qaeda, with the US support, found Syria a good haven for their terrorist activities.”
Describing the insistence of some foreign countries on intervention in Syria, the Iranian official added, “Everybody knows that, like many Arab countries, Syria needs reforms but even those who initiated the protests in the country didn’t want to change Bashar Assad.”
Amir Abdullahian stressed that the situation in Syria has gone toward stability and calm for the past two months, the government has the control over conditions which can be proved by one-sided release of hundreds of political prisoners.
