Speaking to IRNA, Ali Asghar Soltanieh described Iran-IAEA negotiations progressing and stressed, “Success in the talks between Iran and the G5+1 depends on the IAEA coping with realities and accepting Iran’s nuclear rights.”
Noting that the negotiations of the Islamic Republic of Iran with the IAEA are linked with Iran’s national interests, Soltanieh added, “Necessary care should be taken in this regard.”
About the aims of the westerners and their media in raising new anti-Iran allegations at the threshold of negotiations, the Iranian official explicated that the main goal of this measure is to prevent closing of Iran’s nuclear case.
Soltanieh also said, “All Iranian nuclear facilities are continuously being inspected and Iran’s nuclear activities are under the full observance of the IAEA; and everybody knows that the allegations against Iranian peaceful nuclear activities are made with political motives.
The Iranian envoy in the International Atomic Energy Agency further said, “In order to take nuclear know-how out of the monopoly of a few powers and to transfer it to other countries, Islamic Republic of Iran will continue its peaceful nuclear activities; and this is the first step that should be taken by the developing countries with the belief that they can rely on their indigenous know-how.
The Iranian official added, “As it was declared in the IAEA annual conference, Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to offer its nuclear experiences, through the IAEA, to those developing countries that are willing to have the know-how.”
He said that the next round of Iran-G5+1 talks are slated for February 12 or 13.
