Yemeni forces engage the US aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman, prompting it to retreat

Yemeni military forces conducted a nine-hour operation targeting the US aircraft carrier USS Harry Truman in the Red Sea, according to a statement released by a military spokesperson.

Brigadier General Yahya Saree announced that several cruise missiles and kamikaze drones were launched at a US strike group, a statement broadcast on Yemen’s al-Masirah television channel on Saturday evening revealed.

Houthi spokesperson Yahya Saree announced that their forces have launched an attack on the aircraft carrier for the fifth occasion since its deployment in the Red Sea.

“The operation successfully met its objectives, compelling the aircraft carrier to withdraw from the operational theater and retreat to the northern reaches of the Red Sea,” he stated.

The operation was conducted in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza and as a countermeasure to the initial coordinated aggression by the United States, Britain, and Israel against Yemen, according to Saree’s statement.

At least one individual lost their life and nine others sustained injuries following airstrikes on Friday that targeted critical infrastructure, including a power station in the capital city of Sana’a. The strikes also hit locations in the northwestern province of ‘Amran and the strategic Red Sea port city of Hudaydah, according to reports.

In recent developments, United States and British forces stationed in the Red Sea have conducted multiple strikes on military and civilian infrastructure within Yemen. These actions are reportedly aimed at deterring the nation from initiating attacks on territories occupied by Israel, as well as on vessels with ties to Israel navigating the region.

Yemen’s armed forces, through a statement by a representative, have vowed to intensify their offensive actions targeting Israeli assets within the occupied territories. This commitment is contingent upon the cessation of hostilities against Gaza and the lifting of the ongoing blockade.

“Perception of US Invincibility Challenged”

Mahdi al-Mashat, the Chairman of Yemen’s Supreme Political Council, has alleged that the continuous military actions by the United States and the United Kingdom against Yemen are intended to bolster the Zionist regime, facilitating its continued acts of violence against the inhabitants of the Gaza Strip.

Mashat has stated that the conflict in Yemen has led to a year marked by setbacks for adversaries, contrasting with significant achievements for the Yemeni populace. According to him, the efforts of the Yemeni nation and its military over the past year stand as an unprecedented chapter in the historical resistance against what he described as U.S. aggression.

The Yemeni armed forces have significantly undermined the perceived invincibility of the United States military, according to recent statements. They have also posed a challenge to the operational efficacy of American aircraft carriers.

In a recent announcement, it was revealed that missile and drone divisions have successfully engineered new weaponry, including the Palestine-2 hypersonic missiles and Yafa drones. According to the statement, these advanced armaments have demonstrated the capability to evade all of the anti-air missile defenses employed by the Zionist regime.

Yemen has joined the select group of nations with the capability to produce hypersonic missiles, a technological advancement achieved by only a limited number of countries globally.

In a recent statement, Mashat affirmed that Yemen is committed to fulfilling its religious, fundamental, and humanitarian responsibilities in backing the Palestinian cause.

He stated that the weekly pro-Palestinian demonstrations occurring throughout Yemen serve as a powerful testament to the Yemeni people’s solidarity with their Palestinian counterparts.

**Continued Resistance Pledged Until Israel’s Demise, Says Official**

A senior figure within Yemen’s Ansarullah resistance movement has declared that the Axis of Resistance remains steadfast in its commitment to battling Israel until the regime’s total destruction.

Mohammad Ali al-Houthi has affirmed that the Axis of Resistance remains committed to its course and will continue its activities even if operations come to a halt in specific regions.

He stated that the Yemeni populace stands firmly behind the Ansarullah movement, asserting that any aggressive actions against Yemen are destined to fail.

The Houthi movement has issued a warning regarding Israel’s alleged intentions to annex territories in Syria and Lebanon, as well as potentially seizing land in Egypt and Jordan. These claims suggest that Israel is counting on the anticipated support of incoming U.S. President Donald Trump for such expansionist ambitions.

An official representing the Ansarullah movement called on Arab nations to put aside their disputes and come together in opposition to the Israeli government.
