Yemeni Forces Launch Cruise Missiles and Drones in Assault on US Aircraft Carrier

The Yemeni Armed Forces have announced a recent operation targeting an American aircraft carrier in the Red Sea, marking the third such action against the United States in the last 24 hours.

The Yemeni Armed Forces issued a statement on Tuesday declaring that, in response to American actions in Yemen, their Naval Forces, Rocket Forces, and Air Force launched attacks on enemy warships in the Red Sea. The operations reportedly included targeting the American aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman with multiple cruise missiles and drones.

“The operation is currently underway, representing the third occurrence of such activity within a 24-hour period,” the statement noted.

A recent statement declared that military operations against American forces will persist, with a focus on targeting warships in the specified operational area with heightened intensity.

The Armed Forces have announced that Yemen will persist in its operations against Israel, focusing on obstructing the regime’s vessel navigation in the Red and Arabian Seas. Additionally, targeting of Israel’s military and vital infrastructure will continue.

In a statement, a spokesperson declared that their military actions against Israeli forces, including disrupting navigation in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea and targeting military and strategic installations, are intended to put an end to the genocide against the Palestinian population in Gaza. This atrocity is reportedly taking place in plain sight of Arabs, Muslims, and the international community.

They emphasized that operations against Israel will continue until the regime’s actions against the Palestinian population in Gaza come to an end, and the blockade of the region is lifted.

The Yemeni Armed Forces reported on Monday night that they successfully shot down a US MQ-9 drone over Ma’rib Governorate. This incident marks the 16th drone to be brought down by the force since October 7, 2023.

On Sunday night, the United States conducted additional military actions in Yemen, aiming to pressure the Arab nation into halting its support for Palestinians in Gaza.

In a series of significant military actions, American warplanes launched thirteen powerful airstrikes on Yemen’s capital, Sana’a.

Yemeni media outlets have reported a total of eight assaults on the Al-Malikah region in Sana’a, along with five airstrikes targeting the Sarf area.

Following a series of previous assaults that resulted in one civilian fatality and left twelve individuals injured across two districts in Sana’a, the recent attacks have continued the wave of violence in the region.

The majority of US strikes have been directed at civilian structures in the capital of Yemen.

Yemeni forces have been actively targeting Israeli and American assets in a show of solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza since the conflict intensified on October 7, 2023. This escalation is also seen as a reaction to perceived aggression by American and British forces against Yemen.

Operations have successfully led to the closure of the Eilat port located south of the contested regions, resulting in substantial economic repercussions for the Israeli populace.

The Yemeni Armed Forces have declared their commitment to continue their attacks until Israel ceases its ground and aerial operations in Gaza.
