The Israeli occupation forces kidnapped last Thursday a Palestinian young man while travelling via Beit Hanoun (Erez) Crossing for treatment.

Palestinian security sources said that Ezzat Shaker Habboub ,22, from Gaza Strip, who suffers from cancer, was travelling to get treatment in Nablus city in the West Bank when he was kidnapped.

Palestinian official Khader Shaath hold the Israeli occupation full responsibility for the life of Habboub pointing out that he has cancer for more than ten years, and his health is deteriorating.

Shaath called on international institutions to stop the Israeli kidnapping of Palestinian patients at the Beit Hanoun crossing.

Detainee’s family confirmed that her son did not engage in any political activity because he is sick from a young age, and traveled several times through the same crossing to hospitals in Jordan, Nablus and Jerusalem, and had surgery two months ago there.

The family called on the interested parties including human rights organizations and the Red Cross to help release their son.

The Israeli forces usually extort Gaza patients in need to travel through Beit Hanoun crossing for treatment in an attempt to recruit them as secret collaborators with the Israeli intelligence.
