Iran’s Zarif, UN Envoy Discuss Syria, ISSG Meeting

Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura exchanged views on the latest developments in Syria as well as the upcoming meeting of the International Syria Support Group (ISSG) in Vienna.

Zarif arrived in the Austrian capital on Monday evening to take part in the ISSG meeting, which is scheduled to be held on Tuesday.

Upon his arrival, the Iranian foreign minister held talks with de Mistura over the latest developments in Syria and the ISSG meeting.
