Zionist Israeli regime attacked Gaza to salvage itself: President Ahmadinejad

Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says the recent Israeli regime attack on Gaza was triggered not by expansionist motives but to salvage the Zionist regime.

Ahmadinejad said in an interview with Pakistan’s Geo TV on Thursday: “The Zionist regime was after expansionism in the previous wars but this war was waged specifically to salvage a group of Zionists.”
He described Zionism as the root cause of the plundering of nations and the perpetrator behind many terrorist activities and drug businesses in the world and added that the Zionists pursued a warmongering policy but their recent attack on Gaza had a different motive.
He added that the main leaders in the US as well as the Zionists ruling over America have come to the conclusion that the Zionists would not be able to continue under the current condition, so they seek to alter the situation through waging wars.
The Iranian chief executive said that those ruling Israel are not happy with the current condition and seek to change the situation through wars to salvage themselves, reiterating they will, however, fail to change the situation to the benefit of the Israeli regime.
He added: “The aim of the change in the current situation of the Zionist regime is to replace the radical elements ruling the regime with others. In doing so, they intend to poison the atmosphere to achieve their goal but they will undoubtedly fail and they have to go.”
