Syria: Senior FSA Commander Killed in Clashes with Rival Terrorist Group in Lattakia

The FSA announced in a statement that Faylaq al-Sham militants stormed the positions of “al-Horiyeh Brigade-Free Army” in Jabal al-Akrad (mount Kurds) in Northeastern Lattakia, Commander of Coastal Units of al-Horieh Brigade Ahmad Jasem.
In the meantime, Faylaq al-Sham said in a statement that it was the al-Horiyeh Brigade that began the clashes and attacked its positions in the village of Tal al-Khazar in Jabal al-Akrad.
The developments came after al-Horiyeh handed over a position to Faylaq al-Rahman.
Informed sources disclosed on Saturday that clashes among terrorist groups intensified in Southeastern Idlib, leaving a number of militants dead or wounded.
The sources reported that the Al-Nusra Front (Tahrir al-Sham Hay’at or the Levant Liberation Board) stormed the positions of Jeish al-Fateheen affiliated to Ahrar al-Sham in the town of Tahtaya, killing and wounding a number of the rival militants.
The sources added that Al-Nusra intends to impose full control over the road connecting the Southern part of Idlib province to its Eastern part via driving out Jeish al-Fateheen of Tahtaya.
In the meantime, fighters of Hamoud al-Malik, the former commander of Ahrar al-Sham, engaged in clashes with former combatants of Jund al-Aqsa in the town of Ma’art Shamarin in Southern Idlib.
