Ayatollah Khamenei addressed a gathering of Iranian elites, prominent scientific minds, and top achievers in the nation’s university entrance examination during a meeting held in Tehran on Wednesday.

The meeting occurred just hours after the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) launched a significant volley of long-range missiles targeting Israeli-occupied areas. This action was in retaliation for the recent assassination of senior leaders and commanders associated with the resistance front by the Israeli forces.

The Leader stated that the fundamental issues leading to conflicts, wars, tensions, and hostilities in the region stem from the presence of the very nations that profess to champion peace and stability, specifically naming the United States and certain European countries.

“The withdrawal of external forces from the region would undoubtedly lead to the cessation of conflicts, wars, and clashes, enabling local nations to self-govern and coexist peacefully, fostering an environment of blessing and prosperity.”

Ayatollah Khamenei announced plans to soon address concerns related to both the Gaza Strip and Lebanon.

Since October of last year, the United States and its Western allies have extended unwavering support to Israel, offering assistance in financial, logistical, and intelligence areas. This comes as the Israeli government initiated an intense military campaign against Palestinians in Gaza.

In a series of aggressive actions aimed at broadening the regional conflict, Israel has launched airstrikes on southern Lebanon and conducted targeted killings of senior officials and commanders of the Hezbollah resistance movement. Additionally, Iranian military advisors in both Syria and Lebanon have been targeted. These developments highlight the escalating tensions and widening scope of military operations in the region.

On Tuesday night, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) launched an operation in retaliation to the recent targeted assassinations of key resistance figures, including Hamas Political Bureau Chief Ismail Haniyeh, Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, and the military commanders of both the IRGC and the Lebanese resistance movement.

In a military campaign termed Operation True Promise 2, over 180 long-range missiles were deployed, with the elite forces reporting a successful strike rate of “90 percent” on specified targets. Among the targets struck were key strategic centers located within the occupied territories of Israel, as outlined in their official statement.

The headquarters of Israel’s Mossad intelligence agency and the Nevatim airbase, which hosts the nation’s fleet of F-35 fighter jets, were reportedly among the sites targeted by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
