Though the distance between New York City and Washington DC is well over 200 miles, the committed group of anti-racist activist says they intend to walk the entire way.

The protesters hope that continued massive demonstrations will force the government to address the issue of police brutality.

Protesters say the issue is rooted in the history of racism against African-Americans.

Protesters are disturbed by the number of police officers who have attacked or even killed Black Americans, and not faced any penalty.

Some protesters are pessimistic about the impact of peaceful rallies.

The massive march from New York City to Washington DC is supported by many community organizations, as well as elected officials. The protesters intend to stage a massive, anti-police brutality rally when they arrive in the nation’s capitol.
