Hezbollah Leader Highlights Iran’s Enduring Support: Khomeini Transitioned Nation from Shah’s Oppression to Islamic Republic’s Esteem

In a statement released on Sunday, Hezbollah Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem commemorated the death anniversary of Imam Ruhollah Khomeini. He expressed optimism, asserting, “We live in hope for the victory of righteousness over falsehood.”

Sheikh Qassem remarked that the ideology of Imam Khomeini remains significantly influential. He further noted that the Umma is presently benefiting from the guiding light of Muhammadan Islam, a vision brought forth by the revolutionary endeavors initiated by the Imam.

Sheikh Qassem emphasized that Imam Khomeini embodied the ideals of faith, purity, and morality, as well as the rejection of injustice, occupation, and subordination—principles that are upheld by resistance movements across the region.

Hezbollah’s leader asserted that Imam Khomeini transitioned Iran from the Shah’s regime, which was supported by U.S. dominance, to an independent and dignified Islamic Republic that stands in solidarity with the oppressed globally.

Sheikh Qassem emphasized Iran’s pivotal role in backing the Umma’s concerns, particularly the Palestinian cause. He noted the enduring support of the Iranian Revolution for the resistance efforts aimed at liberating occupied Palestine and Al-Quds.
