Hollywood has been an instrument for the US politicians to use it for their political purposes

Michelle Obama presents ‘most political’ Oscar for ‘Argo’
Michelle Obama, US First Lady has presented the Oscar in the 85th Academy Awards ceremony to Ben Affleck for his ‘Argo’ for the best film.
MNA: In the era that politicization in Hollywood was very strong, and every awards and festivals in Hollywood had paid much attention to the anti-Iranian movie ‘Argo’, the 85th Academy Awards ceremony, unveiled the bare politicization in Hollywood.

According to most movie critics, ‘Lincoln’ was the best film of the year to win the Oscar. The Guardian film critic sums it up this way: “Steven Spielberg has crafted a literate, heartfelt film about Abraham Lincoln’s second term in office and his battle to end slavery, with a masterful central performance.”

The Academy Awards ceremony to present the Oscar for the best picture ‘Argo’ by Ben Affleck revealed that Hollywood insiders are sacrificing quality and artistic cinema to political slogans and distortions.

But the 85th Academy Awards revealed a very important fact, attendance by Michelle Obama, the US First Lady, in the Oscars ceremony, to give an Oscar for the best Oscar winning film to ‘Argo’, and presented by her is indicative of those facts.

Hollywood has been an instrument for the US politicians to use it for their political purposes, not based on reality, but one-sided and distorted, to present to the world.

Interestingly, in the current Academy Awards ceremony, presence of Michelle Obama was even surprising for the audience. One of official Hollywood reporters for the Oscar ceremony considered the attendance by President Obama’s wife to give the award for the best picture as ‘unexpected’ and very ‘surprising’.

This ‘unexpected’ and ‘surprising’ move by the US media and Hollywood activists showed the bare Hollywood scandals and politicization of the 85th Academy Awards ceremony.
