UK, US deployed stealth bombers over the Yemeni capital

Al-Masirah television network in Yemen has reported that US-British military forces conducted airstrikes on Thursday morning, targeting the al-Hafa and Jirban regions both to the north and south of the capital. A total of six airstrikes were launched, according to the report.

According to the television network, military jets have conducted airstrikes targeting the northwestern Yemeni city of Sa’ada, along with the regions of Kahlan and al-Abla, situated to the east of the city.

The US military has deployed B-2 stealth bombers for the first time in airstrikes targeting Yemen, according to a report by the television network.

According to Yemen’s state-run Saba Net news agency, aircraft from the United States and the United Kingdom conducted 15 airstrikes targeting the capital, Sana’a, and the Sa’ada province.

According to a security source referenced by the agency, the aircraft conducted six strikes on areas located in both the northern and southern regions of the capital, and carried out nine additional raids in Sa’ada.

A United States defense official has verified to CNN that the recent military strikes were executed utilizing the B-2 bomber, an aircraft typically employed for targeting regions fortified with extensive air defense systems.

CNN has reported that the B-2 aircraft, significantly larger than the fighter jets previously employed in operations targeting Yemeni facilities and weaponry, possesses the capability to carry a substantially heavier payload of bombs.

Nasreddin Amer, the Deputy Minister of Information for the Sana’a-based administration, has voiced strong condemnation against what he describes as American and British hostilities. Amer asserted that these actions would not alter Yemen’s steadfast support for Palestine and Lebanon.

Amer emphasized that the United States will face consequences for its early morning aggression against Yemen.

On Tuesday, United States and British military forces executed a series of four airstrikes targeting the al-Luhayyah district within Yemen’s Hudaydah Province. This operation followed a previous assault on Monday, when the forces launched two airstrikes aimed at the al-Salif district, also located in western Hudaydah.

The Yemeni population has publicly expressed its unequivocal support for Palestine in its fight against Israeli occupation. This show of solidarity follows the onset of a destructive conflict initiated by Israel in Gaza on October 7, 2023. On that date, Palestinian resistance factions launched an unexpected offensive, dubbed Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, targeting Israeli forces.

The Yemeni Armed Forces have announced their intention to continue their assaults until the ongoing Israeli ground and air operations in Gaza are brought to a halt.

According to recent reports, Israel’s military operations have resulted in the deaths of at least 42,409 Palestinians, with the majority being women and children, and have left 99,153 individuals injured in the Gaza Strip. Additionally, Israeli forces have escalated their offensive actions in Lebanon over the past year, leading to the deaths of over 2,300 Lebanese citizens.
