Expansion of Palestinian resistance will cause Israel regime’s collapse: Top official

A top Iranian official has hailed the Palestinian people’s “unparalleled resistance,” saying the expansion of resistance groups will lead to the collapse of the Israeli regime. 

The secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) also stated that supporting the people of Palestine and resistance groups is part of the fundamental policies of Iran.

“We consider it our duty to support the Islamic Jihad movement in line with the idea of liberating Palestine, and we will continue this support with steadfastness and honor,”  Brigadier General Ali Akbar Ahmadian said.

Ahmadian made the remarks in a meeting with the Secretary General of the Islamic Jihad movement Ziad al-Nakhala in the capital Tehran on Saturday.

The two officials discussed the latest developments in the region, particularly the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories.

“The expansion of resistance throughout Palestine, while defeating the Zionists’ imaginary dream of Greater Israel, will mark their collapse,” he said.

Ahmadian emphasized that today the Islamic Jihad and other resistance groups have the initiative to confront the Israeli regime.
