Resistance rockets, in the meantime, continued to pound the occupied territories, despite the Israeli intensified strikes and spy drones hovering in the Lebanese skies.

At least 12 civilians were martyred and several others were injured as Zionist warplanes struck a convoy of displaced Lebanese in Rmeileh town, near the southern city of Sidon.

Furthermore, 11 Lebanese Army servicemen were martyred and many other soldiers and civilians were wounded when Israeli fighter jets targeted barracks in Baabda’s Al-Jomhour area.

For its part, Hezbollah’s rocket barrages continued to pound the occupied territories, fulfilling Resistance Leader Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah’s promise to reach beyond Haifa.

Three rounds of Hezbollah rockets struck the port city of Haifa, wounding two Israelis and partially destroying a three-story residential building. Rockets also hit the town of Atlit, 56 km south of the Lebanese border and 8 km south of Haifa.

The Israeli occupation army said on this day that 15 cities were hit by rockets in a late night raid injuring at least 5 settlers.

Lebanese Speaker Nabih Berri, meanwhile, went ahead with his diplomatic efforts aimed at reaching a cessation of hostilities. He met then Lebanese Prime Minister Fuad Siniora to coordinate Lebanon’s stance in front of foreign diplomats who were conveying messages by the international community.
