President Call for National Unity to Counter Potential US Exploitation of Iran Dynamics

Masoud Pezeshkian has reiterated the vital significance of national unity, emphasizing that the U.S. will be unable to leverage the Iranian situation if the nation demonstrates unity and empathy internally.

During a cabinet meeting on Sunday afternoon, Pezeshkian offered his comments following a report presented by Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi regarding the fifth round of indirect negotiations between Iran and the United States.

The leader emphasized the importance of upholding respectful interactions and fostering social cohesion across all sectors, particularly within the healthcare system. “We must strive to enhance the well-being of the population,” he stated.

Pezeshkian emphasized the importance of broadening and fortifying ties with both regional nations and those further afield.

He stated with confidence that the nation possesses the capability to address its domestic challenges. He emphasized that many of these issues could be effectively resolved through the enhancement of relations and cooperation, particularly with neighboring countries.

During the cabinet session, Araghchi was one of several ministers who delivered reports detailing the latest advancements within their respective departments.

Araghchi has spearheaded five rounds of negotiations—three in Muscat and two in Rome—engaging with US special envoy Steve Witkoff, under the mediation of Omani Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Al-Busaidi.
