US not fulfilling its JCPOA commitments: Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed Imam Khamanei

“The reason behind choosing an economic motto for this year is an analysis and a review of the whole issues of the country,” underlined Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, who was addressing a large crowd of Iranian pilgrims at the Imam Reza holy shrine in Mashhad on the occasion of Nowruz on Sunday.

He asserted that policies of the arrogance, particularly US, demands insertion of a dilemmatic mindset among the elites and public opinion, adding, “the dilemma is either getting along with the US or suffering US pressures and the consequent difficulties forever.”

“There are of course some inside Iran who believe in and accept this moving discourse of arrogance system and try to convince others as well,” Leader regretted, noting “they believe Middle East or domestic problems can be solved by JCPOA; this means giving up principles and redlines, and yielding to the arrogance; US wants us to believe that the sole way to settle regional issues is to negotiate with Americans and to choose a model based on their will; therefore sealing JCPOA after JCPOA in different fields to guarantee that there would be no problem.”

He went on to reaffirm that yielding means Iran would ignore committed principles like supporting Palestine and resistance in region and the oppressed in places like in Bahrain and Yemen.

“Other meaning of yielding is Iran, like some Arab states flagrantly extending friendship hand to Zionist enemy, would reconcile with Zionists,” Ayatollah Khamenei reiterated.

In regard to Iran’s missile program and all controversies behind the issue, Leader reaffirmed that “the US desire is that Iran would even give up on its defensive means as well.”

“In Iran missile issue they constantly say why you test, while US is holding joint drills thousands of miles far from its borders in a region it has no responsibility; this is while Iran’s war games are operated within its borders with security aims,” Leader of Islamic Revolution stated.

He continued, “arrogance will get to a point whee it will even question why IRGC and Quds Force ever exist? Why Constitution demands Islamic Republic’s policies to comply with Islam?”

“If you surrender to the enemy while you can resist, the enemy will step forward and will not stop,” reaffirmed Leader and continued that “Arrogance believes if Islamic Republic and the Iranian nation want to get rid of US, they must give up content of the Islamic Republic and Islamic notions and country’s security,” the Leader said.

Regarding Iran’s nuclear deal with 5+1 group of countries, Ayatollah Khamenei reiterated “in nuclear deal also the United States didn’t fulfill its commitments. As Foreign Minister Zarif said they did something on paper, but by using detours they try to stop Iran from acheiving its objectives.”

“Today, our banking transactions and release of our wealth have faced problems in westers countries as they fear from US, while on paper they vowed to remove sanctions,” he provided examples.

“This is how the deal with US is; it means you have to fulfill all commitments while the other party breaches the deal under different pretexts; this means absolute loss.”

Taken into consideration the regional issues and Iran’s prominent role in Middle East, Ayatollah Khamenei noted Iran’s unique strategic location in region and its various resources besides gas and oil. “Before Revolution US had full grasp on Iran and was looting it,” said the leader, asserting that “US hostility against Iran ends only when it gains the same rule over the country again.”

“However Islamic Republic not only protected Iran, but encouraged other regional countries with its resistance and bravery; today many countries in region and beyond the region chant Death to US slogans. Iranian nation showed resilience is possible and others learned and byvthis situation the United States has lost its leading role,” said Ayatollah Khamenei noting the regional issues and added “those with Great Middle East slogan have now failed in Iraq, Syria, Yemen and Palestine and blame Iran for it; it is because their enmity toward Iran is fundamental.”

“Arrogant powers have used many means to affect Iran the most important one being the Pahlavi regime; then the fear from powers; however, the Islamic Revolution destroyed all these means and no such an irrational fear exists today as the Islamic Republic enjoys a great public support,” said Leader.

He continued “another tool was inserting lack of confidence to the nation; Iranians didn’t believe themselves under the Pahlavi regime and there was no scientific progress; Islamic Revolution changed the idea to national confidence; Iranian youths now believe in their innovative and scientific capabilities,” adding “despite sanctions Iran is among top 10 progressed countries and has reached great achievements regarding nuclear and nano technologies.”

“US officials keep sanctions on one hand and give Nowruz message on the other hand, sympathize with youths and set 7-Sin table in the White House while all these are deceptions,” the Leader said, underlining, “Americans have not known our nation yet; Iranian nation is aware and knows its enemies; of course, we have no problem with American people. American politicians are our enemies.”

“Iran benefits from great natural and human resources as well as international opportunities; Iran has an extraordinary capacity to advance; Today Islamic Republic has become an influential power in the region and in some international arenas; these are facts needed to be considered,” emphasized Ayatollah Khamenei.

Noting the fundamental enmity of US and its causes, the Leader underlined “there is no guarantee that President Barack Obama’s successor would fulfill the obligations; the US presidential candidates are vying with each other in inveighing against Iran; these are enmity.”

“Propaganda, Iranophobia, infiltration and sanctions are the main means of the enemy against Iran the most important of which is sanctions; this has to be resisted by Resistance Economy,” reaffirmed the Leader.

He continued “the Iranian nation and government have to act in this regard; the economic activities of the country have to be prioritized to define a roadmap; domestic production has to be revived completely under the supervision of economists; foreign trade has to be exercised carefully in order not to weaken domestic production; some prominent sectors of Iran’s economy like gas and oil have to turn into knowledge-based industries; the transfer of knowledge has to be an essential part of Iran’s foreign trade; corruption and smuggling have to be confronted strongly; all these would lead to ineffectiveness of sanctions,” underlined Ayatollah Khamenei.

“Cultural issues also are of high importance; cultural activities, especially those led by public, have to develop and the governmental organizations have to help these kind of activities,” said Leader adding that “Iran’s Revolutionary youth have the capability to work in all possible fields; Iran’s present and future belongs to the young generation; if you work hard and believe in yourself US and even greater powers would fail affecting you.”
