US Warships Fully Obey Islamic Iran’s Orders in Persian Gulf

The US warships in the Persian Gulf show full respect for Iran’s warnings since dire consequences will be waiting for them otherwise, Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps naval force General Ali Fadavi said Saturday.

“Considering that in the end of the (Iraqi imposed) war (in the 1980s) a one-billion-dollar US warship and its choppers were destroyed, naturally now that the IRGC navy enjoys full might and power in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz, Americans comply with the IRGC warnings, otherwise very bad consequences will be waiting for them, although we have never seen them disobey in the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf,” General Fadavi said.

Asked about the possibility of a military conflict between Iran and the US, the General said, “The possibility of a conflict depends on the level of the stupidity of the westerners.”

He also responded to the questions if Tehran has decided to close the Strait of Hormuz, and said as far as the necessary military and naval capabilities are concerned, “the IRGC Navy has been able to take full charge of the Strait of Hormuz and avoid shipment of even a single drop of oil since the Iraqi imposed war, but using this capability is another thing”.

Yet, the General cautioned that if Iran’s security is endangered, Tehran would take the necessary action to close the waterway.

He reminded that during the Iraqi imposed war on Iran in the 1980s when the two sides hit each other’s oil tankers, Iran carried out 39 operations to reciprocate the Iraqi attacks on its ships.

“Our 39 retaliatory operations were conducted successfully; in all these operations, the US warships (responsible for protecting the Iraq-bound cargo ships) started their voyage to reach the (Iraq-bound) ships sooner than us, but they could never prevent even a single operation of ours,” the IRGC Navy commander said.
