zionist lobby fundraiser slammed in New York City

A group of demonstrators have gathered outside a fundraising event for the US-Israeli lobby in the United States to denounce Washington’s continued support for Tel Aviv.

The Times of Israel newspaper sponsored a gala to raise money for the Jewish National Fund and other foundations within the US Israeli lobby in New York City’s Waldorf-Astoria Hotel.

Elected officials as well as business and community leaders gathered Sunday at the hotel’s lobby to raise money for the Jewish National Fund. Wealthy donors paid $350 each to attend the fundraiser.

Jewish National Fund “is the racist tax-evading organization” and it is responsible for “destroying a lot of Palestinian cities,” said Palestinian-American protester Fatin Jarrara.

The gathering also set to honor former Israeli president Shimon Pres for his work in developing weapons systems for the Israeli military with financial assistance from the United States.

The protesters opposed the gathering and Washington’s support for the Zionist regime’s crimes outside the hotel.

“Israel is not a victim. Israel is the perpetrator of murder, “Nick Maniace from Fight Imperialist, Stand Together said during the protest.

According to another protester Hani Ghazi, the US government is complicit with Israel in crimes by funding the Israeli military “with our tax money” and also “using its veto power at the United Nations Security Council.”

Israel is demolishing Palestinian houses, but keeps on building illegal settlement units on the occupied Palestinian territories.

The presence and continued expansion of Israeli settlements in occupied Palestine has created a major obstacle for the efforts to establish peace in the Middle East.
